Al-Azawi Achieves Milestone in Mountain Running Race
Moroccan runner Hussein Al-Azawi achieved a remarkable feat in the "Wild 55" race held in Switzerland, where he secured first place and broke the world record for the competition, surpassing Frenchman Thibaut Debize, who finished in second place.
The competition took place as part of the "Wildstrubel by UTMB," with the race spanning rugged mountain trails in the Swiss Alps, starting from Adelboden in the Bern canton and reaching Crans-Montana in the Valais canton, covering a distance of 55 kilometers with a total elevation of 3,300 meters.
This victory enhances Al-Azawi's status as one of the prominent names globally in trail and mountain running, having recorded strong results in several major international competitions in recent years, adding another world record achievement to his athletic career.
