Atletico Madrid defeats Real Sociedad with three late goals.

Atletico Madrid climbed to fourth place in La Liga after defeating hosts Real Sociedad 3-0 on Sunday in the fifth round.

Atletico raised their points total to 10, placing them fourth on goal difference behind Deportivo Alavés in third, while Real Sociedad remained on 7 points in twelfth place.

Atletico had to wait until the 84th minute to break through the home side's defense, with Alex Grimaldo opening the scoring after a long period of a goalless stalemate.

Jonathan David added the second goal in the 90th minute, before Giovanni Simeone completed the scoring in the fifth minute of stoppage time.

These late goals secured a valuable victory for Atletico, propelling them into the top four in the La Liga standings after 5 rounds.
