Carolina Core FC reveals the acquisition of Ghanaian defender Rashid Tetteh.
Ghanaian defender Rashid Tetteh has signed with MLS Next Pro team Carolina Core FC. The 31-year-old centre-back has put pen to paper on a deal that will keep him with Carolina Core until the end of the year, arriving from USL side Westchester. "Carolina Core FC has officially announced the addition of defender Rashid Tetteh, enhancing the Foxes' back line with a player who boasts nearly a decade of professional experience in the United States," stated the club following the completion of the transfer.
Tetteh brings a wealth of experience from his time in the United States, having spent nearly ten years competing in the lower divisions. He kicked off his professional career in USL League Two with Carolina Dynamo and Des Moines Menace before securing his first professional contract with New Mexico United in 2019. Tetteh then enjoyed a four-season stint with New Mexico United, where he made 83 appearances in the USL Championship before moving to FC Tulsa for the 2023 and 2024 seasons. During his two years with Tulsa, he featured in 49 league matches, solidifying his role as a dependable figure in the defensive lineup. Most recently, he played for Westchester SC during the club's first season in the 2025 USL League One, participating in 22 league matches and consistently contributing to the defense.
