Sources indicate that Damac made an initial offer for the 33-year-old keeper last year and has now returned with a more attractive proposal. Discussions between the two clubs are believed to be in progress. This renewed interest has sparked significant speculation regarding a possible transfer fee. Earlier reports suggested that Hearts of Oak was seeking over $200,000 for the goalkeeper. However, the club has since refuted these assertions. In a statement issued on Wednesday, July 15, Hearts of Oak labeled the claims of a fixed valuation as "false and without factual basis." "Hearts of Oak has not established any valuation for Benjamin Asare and has not authorized any individual or media outlet to disclose a transfer fee or asking price on its behalf," the statement read. While the club has denied that a price has been determined, the Phobians have indicated their willingness to entertain offers that align with the best interests of both the player and the organization. Asare's value has significantly increased following a remarkable World Cup performance in North America. The Hearts of Oak captain solidified his status as Ghana's primary goalkeeper, achieving a clean sheet in a historic goalless draw against tournament favorites England and aiding the Black Stars in advancing from a tough group. His efforts earned him recognition as the sixth-best goalkeeper in the tournament. The 33-year-old is contracted with Hearts of Oak until June 2027, positioning the club favorably as interest in his services intensifies.
