CR Belouizdad Secures Hard-Fought Victory Over ES Sétif
CR Belouizdad achieved a hard-fought and valuable victory over ES Sétif, winning 1-0 in the top match of the second round of the Algerian Ligue Professionnelle 1, held at the 5 July Olympic Stadium.
The "Aïn Benian" team had to wait until the second half to open the scoring in the 80th minute, when substitute Yassir Bouzouk converted a penalty into a goal in spectacular fashion, giving his team the necessary advantage to secure the win.
The match did not reach the expected technical level, due to the players' lack of full physical readiness on both sides, as well as the lack of cohesion among some new elements, which affected both teams' performance on the field.
In the dying moments of the match, goal scorer Yassir Bouzouk was sent off with a red card, but this did not prevent CR Belouizdad from maintaining their lead until the final whistle, securing three precious points from this clash.
With this victory, the capital team climbed to second place, behind leaders CR Belouizdad, with a total of 4 points after returning with a valuable point from the previous round against Olympique de Chlef.
