Nabil Nguiz Appointed as New Coach of Niger National Team
The Nigerian Football Federation announced today, Friday, the appointment of coach Nabil Nguiz as the head coach of the national team.
This appointment was revealed during an official ceremony led by the president of the Nigerian Football Federation, marking the start of Nguiz's role as coach of the Niger national team in preparation for upcoming challenges.
The Algerian coach will face his first official test with "Mena" when they take on Lesotho on September 25 in the Ghanaian capital, Accra, as part of the first round of the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers. He will then travel to face Gabon on September 29 in Franceville for the second round.
The Niger national team is also expected to play a friendly match against the Algerian national team on October 6 at the Hussein Aït Ahmed Stadium in Tizi Ouzou, which will be a special encounter for coach Nabil Nguiz.
With Nguiz's appointment, the Niger national team begins a new chapter under the Algerian coach, who aims to lead "Mena" to positive results in the upcoming competitions.
