A meeting is expected between the Egyptian Football Association and the Clubs Association to determine the fate of the Egyptian Super Cup.
All eyes are on an anticipated meeting between the Egyptian Football Association and the Professional Clubs Association to decide the fate of the Egyptian Super Cup, after the organization of the new edition was delayed from its scheduled dates between November 1 and 8.
The association is awaiting a final decision from the federation so that it can coordinate the schedules of local competitions, with the possibility of holding the tournament in January as a proposed alternative.
UAE's Apology for Hosting the Super Cup
The issue arose after the UAE apologized for hosting this edition of the tournament, although reports suggest that the possibility of their return remains, leaving the venue and date in a state of uncertainty.
With difficulties in organizing it on the scheduled date, the decision was made to hold the Round of 32 matches of the Egypt Cup and the second round of the Cairo Cup during the first week of November instead, while maintaining the Super Cup format with four participating teams.
The tournament is expected to include Zamalek, the league champion, Pyramids, the Egypt Cup champion, and Al-Masry, the League Cup champion, while the name of the fourth team, which is likely to receive the golden invitation, has not been officially confirmed, with Al Ahly being considered the frontrunner for it.
