The refereeing committee is considering changing the rules for referee allowances for the upcoming season.

The Referees Committee of the Egyptian Football Association is studying amendments to the financial regulations regarding referees' allowances, with the possibility of implementing any potential increase at the start of the next season. This move aims to adapt to economic changes and improve the conditions for referees.

According to the latest announced financial regulations, the center referee in Premier League and Egyptian Super matches receives 10,000 Egyptian pounds per match, while each assistant referee and video assistant referee earns 7,000 pounds, and the fourth official's allowance is 5,000 pounds. The Football Association approved these amounts starting from January 2025, following a previous increase in allowances.

Reevaluation of Current Allowance Values

The committee is expected to review the current allowance values, as well as the resources for officiating and the costs of managing matches, before presenting its proposal to the Board of Directors of the Association for a final decision.

This initiative is part of ongoing efforts to develop the refereeing system and provide better financial conditions for referees, helping them focus and improve their performance in local competitions.

The proposed increase amount and the date of its approval have not yet been announced, as this will depend on the committee's study and the approval of the Association's Board of Directors.
