Moroccan international Abde Ezzalzouli scored a goal in the match where his team Real Betis lost to Barcelona 5-2 on Saturday, in the ninth round of La Liga.

Barcelona imposed its attacking style from the start, with Spanish star Lamine Yamal opening the scoring in the 9th minute with a stunning curled shot that left goalkeeper Álvaro Paeis with no chance, giving the Catalan team an early lead.

Real Betis managed to equalize in the 27th minute when Valentin Gomez scored with a precise header, but Barcelona regained the lead thanks to Rodri, who netted his first goal for the Catalan side, benefiting from a pass by Firmin Lopez.

Before the end of the first half, the Andalusian team thought they had equalized again with another goal, but the referee disallowed it for a handball by one of the Betis players, leaving Barcelona ahead at halftime.

At the start of the second half, the Catalan club continued to apply pressure, adding a third goal through Gabriel Jesus in the 51st minute, taking advantage of a fine assist from Lamine Yamal.

Real Betis responded quickly, with Moroccan international Abde Ezzalzouli reducing the deficit just two minutes later, in the 53rd minute, as he found the net against his former team, bringing some hope back to the home side.

However, Barcelona maintained its dominance, scoring two more goals through Eric Garcia and Dani Olmo, sealing the match with a 5-2 victory.

The match also saw Lamine Yamal substituted in the 70th minute, as coach Hansi Flick decided to replace him with teammate Raphinha.

With this victory, Barcelona strengthened its position at the top of La Liga, increasing its points tally to 27, while Real Betis remained at 19 points, occupying third place.
