After losing to the new team in the league, CS Sfaxien has sacked its coach.
The Tunisian club Sfaxien announced on Monday that it has terminated the contract of coach Nabil Kouki and his assistant staff following an unexpected defeat against Takaddum Saqiet Eddaier, who recently promoted to the Tunisian Premier League.
Sfaxien currently sits in sixth place in the Tunisian league standings with 8 points, 4 points behind leaders Esperance, after 5 rounds.
Kouki's departure comes just days before Sfaxien's anticipated match against Ivorian club Académie Diallo next Saturday, away from home, in the first leg of the second preliminary round of the CAF Confederation Cup.
The club stated in a post on its official Facebook page that it will reveal the new coaching staff for the first team soon.
This decision came after Sfaxien lost at home on Saturday, 1-0, to Takaddum Saqiet Eddaier, who is competing in their first season in the Premier League and is the second representative of the Sfax region in the competition.
