The second matchday of the UEFA Champions League kicks off on Tuesday. Several exciting clashes are on the schedule, including Manchester City against PSG. UEFA announced on Monday who will be the referee for this match.

Reunions at the Etihad Stadium this Wednesday at 19:00 GMT. Manchester City faces PSG, the two-time defending European champions. The two teams are well acquainted on the international stage. In 2025, the Parisians eliminated the Sky Blues in their quest for their first European title. This season, they meet again. The match will be officiated by a German official. Sven Jablonski will oversee his second match of the season in the Champions League, after officiating the duel between FC Barcelona and Feyenoord.

However, he is not a stranger to the Sky Blues. In his first season in the UEFA Champions League last year, Sven Jablonski officiated in 4 matches, including the one between Bodo Glimt and Manchester City. The Mancunians suffered a 1-3 defeat and finished with 10 players, following Rodri's red card. This will be the first time he referees a PSG match in the UEFA Champions League.
