Shobair emphasized that Abdel-Moneim's return to the national team's plans is a positive step, stressing the importance of overcoming disagreements and giving players a new chance, as long as their presence strengthens the national team in the upcoming period.

In radio statements, Shobair noted that Hossam Hassan decided to call up Mohamed Abdel-Moneim among the list of professionals in preparation for Egypt's upcoming camp, which includes two matches against Malawi in the Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.

Shobair added: "This is the best news I have heard. It is wonderful to have a sense of forgiveness. Abdel-Moneim was completely wrong to refuse to travel to South Sudan, and I confirmed the truth of everything Captain Ibrahim Hassan said. I told Captain Ibrahim that we will open a new page with all the players."

The former Al Ahly and Egypt goalkeeper also noted that Abdel-Moneim has been performing well with Nice recently, which enhances the chances of benefiting from his abilities with the national team, especially given the Pharaohs' need for all outstanding players before the upcoming challenges.

Shobair concluded his statements by emphasizing the necessity of prioritizing the interests of the Egypt national team and giving opportunities to every player capable of contributing, which will assist the coaching staff in preparing the best elements for the upcoming competitions.
