Al Ahly makes decision on signing Ibrahim Adel in January. Discover the details.

Al Ahly officials have clarified their position regarding the potential signing of Ibrahim Adel, the national team player and FC Nordsjælland forward, during the upcoming winter transfer window, following recent reports suggesting the club's interest in bringing the player back to strengthen the squad.

Ibrahim Adel Not a Priority for Al Ahly

A source within Al Ahly confirmed that Ibrahim Adel is not among the club's priorities for the January transfer window, emphasizing that rumors about the management negotiating with the player or his Danish club are unfounded, and that Al Ahly has not made any new contacts recently.

The source revealed that the last communication between Al Ahly and Ibrahim Adel was at the end of last season when the club sought to benefit from the player's services. However, Nordsjælland's management refused to let him go at that time due to their need for him, prompting Al Ahly officials to close the deal and not consider it further for now.

Al Ahly Sets Its Priorities for the Winter Transfer Window

The source indicated that strengthening the winger position, where Ibrahim Adel excels, is not a priority for the coaching staff during the winter transfer window. Instead, Al Ahly's plan focuses on signing one or two defenders to bolster the backline, in addition to acquiring a defensive midfielder capable of playing in the number 6 position.

Al Ahly officials are working in coordination with the coaching staff, led by Moroccan coach Hussein Ammouta, to identify the necessary signings for January based on technical needs and weaknesses that require addressing, aiming to prepare the team optimally for continued competition in domestic and continental tournaments during the second half of the season.

Therefore, the matter of Ibrahim Adel remains outside Al Ahly's interests for the time being, unless there are any changes in the team's needs in the near future.
