Mohamed Al-Bira, a board member of Libyan club Ittihad Misrati, expressed his appreciation for Wael Gomaa, the director of football, presenting him with a plaque and the club's flag before the friendly match between Al Ahly and their Libyan counterparts this evening at Mokhtar El-Tetch Stadium in Zamalek.
Wael Gomaa expressed his deep gratitude to the officials of Ittihad Misrati, wishing the Libyan team success and achievement during their preparation period and in reaching their goals in the near future.
Al Ahly participated in their first friendly match against Ittihad Misrati as part of the team's preparation program during the international break, in the context of their readiness for upcoming competitions.
Al Ahly Secures 4-2 Victory Over Ittihad Misrati in Friendly Match
The first team of Al Ahly managed to win against Ittihad Misrati with a score of 4-2 in the friendly match held between the two teams this evening, Monday, at El-Tetch Stadium, as part of the team's preparations during the official competition break.
The four goals for Al Ahly were scored by Yassin Marai, Hussein El-Shahat, Ahmed Reda, and Sofiane Ben Jdida.
The match against Ittihad Misrati comes as part of the coaching staff's efforts to make the most of the break, giving several players the opportunity to participate, as well as assessing their technical and physical levels in preparation for the next phase and the resumption of official competitions.
The coaching staff had decided to promote 7 players from the youth sector to participate in the first team's training to compensate for the absence of international players, namely: Zidan Najeh, Mohamed El-Sayed, Yassin Mohamed, Mohab Wael, Omar Abu Ghazala, Abdel Rahman Rami "Manu," and Ahmed El-Sheikh.
