Diop: Away matches in Africa are extremely difficult

Ayoub Diop, a player for the Moroccan national team, stated that facing Lesotho will be his first experience outside Morocco in Africa, emphasizing his readiness to take on this challenge. He highlighted the importance of delivering the "best performance" to manage the match correctly.

During the press conference ahead of the match against Lesotho, Diop said: "This is my first time in South Africa, and it will be my first match away from home in Africa. It is true that this is a new experience for me, but I am very excited to face this challenge because we know that matches in Africa away from home are tough. I hope we can present ourselves in the best possible way tomorrow so we can manage the game well."

The national team player confirmed that having a coaching staff that knows the players well helps the team adapt to different conditions, saying: "It is easier for us to adapt because we have a staff that knows all the players very well, and thus knows how to provide us with all the information we need."

Diop added, confirming the national team's readiness for the match: "As the coach said, we have no excuses; we are very well prepared, and we hope to achieve victory in this match."

The national team is preparing to face Lesotho tomorrow, Tuesday, in Bloemfontein, South Africa, as part of the second round of the qualifiers for the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations.
