A reliable source from Zamalek SC revealed that the anger of the fans towards left-back Ahmed Fattouh stems from the player partying at a nightclub in Rwanda, alongside his teammates Ahmed Sherif and Mustafa Zanzari, after the team's match against Rwandan Army in the first leg of the second preliminary round of the CAF Champions League.
The source told Youm7 that this incident sparked discontent among Zamalek fans, who renewed their criticism of Ahmed Fattouh following the match between the two teams on Saturday evening at Cairo International Stadium, in the second leg of the African tournament's preliminary round.
Zamalek fans chanted against Ahmed Fattouh after the match, marking a second wave of criticism directed at the player, who had already faced backlash during the match against Petrojet in the Egyptian Premier League.
Zamalek managed to secure a victory over Rwandan Army with a score of 1-0, thanks to a goal from Ahmed Sherif in the first minute of the match, following a cross from Omar Gaber, ensuring the White Knights' progression to the group stage of the CAF Champions League.
