Andorra Goalkeeper After Tenerife Striker's Death: "These Are Some of the Hardest Days of My Life"

Jesus Ouno, goalkeeper for Andorra in the Spanish Segunda División, expressed his deep sorrow following the death of Tenerife striker Jesus de Miguel, who suffered a fatal injury after a direct collision between the two during the match between their teams last Monday.

Andorra released a statement on Wednesday featuring an emotional message from Ouno, who described the incident as one of the hardest moments he has ever faced, acknowledging the difficulty of accepting what happened and his inability to comprehend the magnitude of the tragedy.

The Spanish goalkeeper said, "These are some of the hardest days of my life. I can't express my feelings and I find it hard to grasp what has occurred," adding that at this moment he can only think of the late Jesus and the pain his family and loved ones are enduring, before bidding farewell with heartfelt words: "Rest in peace, Jesus."

De Miguel was transferred to the intensive care unit after the collision but passed away on Tuesday morning, in an incident that has caused shock and sadness in the Spanish football community.

In this context, Ouno had to close his Instagram account after facing a wave of abusive comments and hostile messages blaming him for the incident, despite the fact that it was an accident that occurred during the course of the match.
