Aston Martin has emerged as the inaugural Formula 1 team to collaborate with a company specializing in padel and pickleball, joining forces with Padeltek to unveil a selection of rackets set to be released this week.

The Silverstone team revealed this new partnership ahead of the upcoming United States Grand Prix in Austin, Texas, where they, along with Padeltek, will host a special I / AM fan event at a newly established padel facility, Padel Society.

The Aston Martin Padeltek line will feature three padel rackets and three carrying bags.

"Formula 1 serves as a platform for collaboration across broader sports and lifestyle domains, and we are witnessing an increasing demand from fans to merge these realms," stated Matt Chapman, Aston Martin's head of licensing and merchandise.

"Being the first Formula 1 team to officially partner with a padel and pickleball entity, we are thrilled to merge our brand identity with a tangible product that embodies authenticity and a focus on performance."

Ron Saslow, founding and managing partner of Thirty-5 Capital, remarked: "It didn't take long for padel and Formula 1 to connect. Both sports emphasize precision, speed, and performance, and both are gaining traction among fans in the United States.

"For Padeltek, teaming up with the Aston Martin Aramco Formula 1 Team presents an opportunity to channel that shared enthusiasm onto the court, developing equipment that allows racing fans to engage with their team in a fresh way while introducing more individuals to padel."

The collaboration is set to broaden in 2027, with plans for pickleball rackets and accessories to be launched.

Padel has gained significant traction among F1 drivers, with many now integrating it into their training regimens.

Aston Martin approaches the United States Grand Prix, scheduled for 23-25 October, sitting 10th in the constructors' standings with seven points. Two-time champion Fernando Alonso ranks 17th in the drivers' championship, having scored all seven of the team's points, while his teammate Lance Stroll occupies the 21st position with no points.
