Moroccan international Ayyoub Bouaddi has secured his place on the final shortlist for the "Golden Boy" award for the best player under 21 in Europe. Italian newspaper "Tuttosport" revealed the list of 25 players competing for the award on Monday, with the winner to be announced at a ceremony in Turin next December.

Bouaddi has emerged as a standout candidate for the award, having recently established himself at Manchester City, becoming one of the young players trusted by the coaching staff after his transfer last summer.

The final list features some of the brightest emerging talents in Europe, including Spain's Pau Cubarsi, as well as Warren Zaïre-Emery, Viktor Fröhlich, Ryan, Endrick, Guriell Hato, Estivao, Linart Karl, Luka Vuskovic, Junior Kroubi, Martial, and others.

Twenty players were selected for the list based on the "Golden Boy Index" ranking developed by the award in collaboration with the "Transfermarkt" platform, while the list was completed with five players who received special invitations, bringing the total number of nominees to 25.

Bilal El Khannous previously reached the final shortlist for the "Golden Boy" award in 2023 after receiving a "wild card," while Elias Ben Sghir made the final list for the 2024 edition, and Elias Akhomach was among the 100 nominees in the same edition.
