Bentaib shines in the Belgian league

The Belgian newspaper “DH Les Sports” praised the outstanding performance of Moroccan striker Toufik Benteib with Anderlecht, noting that he has become a key player in the team's results, contributing to three consecutive victories in the Belgian Pro League by scoring a goal in each match.

The newspaper highlighted that Benteib, a graduate of the Mohammed VI Football Academy, has exceptional efficiency in front of goal, having scored three goals from eight shots in his last three matches, with a success rate of 38 percent, despite his expected goals total being only 1.19.

It noted that the efficiency of the Moroccan striker and his Belgian teammate Adriano Bertaccini in front of goal surpasses, according to statistics, that of prominent stars like Erling Haaland, Kylian Mbappé, and Lamine Jamal.

The newspaper also pointed out the physical effort Benteib exerts, covering about 11 kilometers and making 12 sprints every 90 minutes, in addition to his contributions in pressing opponents and building attacks.

Benteib transferred to Anderlecht last summer from Troyes in a deal worth 4.5 million euros, including bonuses, after finishing as the top scorer in the French second division with 20 goals.
