Bouzouba Leaves Presidency of Wydad Fes
Mohamed Bouzouba, president of the Wydad Fes sports association, announced his resignation from his position at the club for personal reasons during a meeting between the association's board and the club's council of elders, attended by company president Omar Benis and vice president Ali Benjelloun.
Bouzouba confirmed, according to a club statement, that his resignation would not affect his commitment to the club and its project, emphasizing that he would continue to play his role as a major investor in the sports company.
The club stated that under this decision, and in accordance with Article 23 of the association's bylaws regarding the vacancy of the president's position, his first deputy Ali Benjelloun will temporarily assume the presidency of the association until the electoral general assembly is held, with the date to be announced as soon as possible.
In the same context, the document noted that the club's council of elders proposed appointing Bouzouba as the council president, in recognition of his efforts and ongoing commitment to the club and its project, to ensure the benefit of his expertise.
Bouzouba emphasized in the same statement that the second phase of the project will continue with daily efforts and ongoing follow-up, expressing his full confidence in the sports company and its management led by Omar Benis, as well as in the members of the association's board, to achieve the project's goals and the aspirations of Wydad Fes fans.
The source also explained that after the meeting, the association's board held a meeting with the members of the council of elders, during which the details of the resignation decision were discussed, as this change was considered a step towards improving the club's administrative performance.
In conclusion, Mohamed Bouzouba called on the members of the council of elders and all components of the club to support the list that Ali Benjelloun will present during the upcoming electoral general assembly, while also expressing the importance of supporting the continuity of the club's project and its institutional goals.
