Zabiri: I was able to achieve my childhood dream by joining Barcelona

Moroccan international Yassir El Zbeiri fulfilled a childhood dream by playing for Racing Santander against Barcelona at the Camp Nou, where he managed to score a goal despite his team's 7-2 defeat.

The Moroccan forward came on as a substitute in the match between the two teams on Wednesday in La Liga, and he took advantage of the minutes he received to score one of Racing Santander's goals.

After the match, El Zbeiri expressed his happiness at playing at Camp Nou, noting that playing in this stadium and scoring against Barcelona is a special moment in his career, given his long-standing connection to the Catalan club.

The Moroccan international said, "I am very happy to play at Camp Nou; this is a childhood dream come true, and it feels amazing to score in this match."

He added, "Everyone knows that I have loved Barcelona since childhood, so this night is special for me despite the defeat."

Despite his joy at scoring, El Zbeiri did not overlook his team's performance, admitting that Racing Santander needs to improve defensively, given the attacking effectiveness they have shown since the start of the season.

He explained, "We at Racing Santander have a strong attack, but we face significant defensive problems, and we do not know how to defend collectively; we need to improve in this area."

El Zbeiri has now scored six goals in six matches this season, continuing his strong start with Racing Santander.

Despite the heavy defeat against Barcelona, the Moroccan forward left the match with a goal that holds special value for him, as it combined playing at Camp Nou and scoring against the team he has supported since childhood.
