The Association Sportive des Douanes (AS Douanes) aims to reach a new level in its organization. On October 29 and 30, 2026, in Ouagadougou, the club will hold a skills development session for its officials, supported by Global Sport Management (GSM), aimed at optimizing the management of its various sections.
This initiative focuses particularly on activity planning, setting priorities, project monitoring, and financial management. The search for partners and the diversification of revenue sources are also major aspects of this approach. The goal is to equip leaders with practical tools to better meet the demands of contemporary sports.
The training will bring together the heads of the six disciplines of AS Douanes: football, basketball, volleyball, handball, judo, and athletics. Through this initiative, the club aims to harmonize its working methods and strengthen coordination among its different sections.
For Moumouni Derra, president of the Executive Bureau of AS Douanes, this initiative is part of a dynamic to strengthen the foundations of the club. The support of Moussa René Sanou, head of Global Sport Management, should help participants better understand the organizational and financial challenges faced by sports structures.
Beyond these two days of training, the challenge is to convert the knowledge gained into sustainable practices. For AS Douanes, sporting success also requires rigorous governance, optimal resource mobilization, and effective planning. The club is thus committed to a more professional management approach to support its ambitions and ensure its long-term development.
