The Minister of National Construction, Mikaïlou Sidibé, officially received his AJSB Personality 2026 trophy on Tuesday, October 27, in his office. A delegation from the Burkina Sports Journalists Association (AJSB), led by its president, Ibrahima Diallo, visited to present him with this honor.
Sidibé was elected during the Champions Night event held on October 23, but could not attend the ceremony due to scheduling conflicts. The AJSB organized this official presentation in the presence of its board members.
“We came this evening to express our gratitude to the Minister of National Construction, AJSB Personality 2026, who could not participate in the trophy presentation ceremony at Champions Night due to his schedule,” said Ibrahima Diallo.
Beyond the trophy presentation, this visit allowed the association to acknowledge the minister's support in carrying out its activities. The AJSB president particularly highlighted the material, institutional assistance, and advice that the organization has received.
“Since we have been here and since he has been leading his department, he has spared no effort to assist us, whether in terms of material support, institutional backing, or through his advice,” he stated.
According to Ibrahima Diallo, Mikaïlou Sidibé welcomed this recognition warmly and encouraged the association's leaders to continue their efforts for Burkinabé sports.
This presentation thus formalizes the distinction awarded to the minister during Champions Night. Through this gesture, the AJSB also aims to celebrate the support provided to its initiatives and his commitment alongside the national sports stakeholders.
