A reliable source at Cairo International Stadium revealed that it is difficult to respond to Zamalek's request to postpone the planting of winter seeds at the stadium, allowing the team to play against Tunisian club Africain in the first round of the group stage of the CAF Champions League.
The source explained in statements to "Youm7" that it is challenging to change or delay the date for planting the winter seeds at the stadium, as the concerned company had set the date in advance, and any alteration could lead to the cancellation of the planting process.
The source also noted that the closing date for Cairo Stadium had been determined earlier and that the clubs and the league association had been informed of this date, which is set for November 24. The authority consulted the relevant company, which confirmed that any change in the date could result in the winter seeds not being planted.
Zamalek Requests Postponement of Winter Seed Planting
Zamalek had sent an official letter to Cairo International Stadium requesting to hold their match against Tunisian club Africain at 6 PM on Saturday, November 28. The club insists on playing the match at their home ground and is demanding a postponement of the winter seed planting until after the match.
