Football fans in Poland will have to do without Ibrahima Camara for several months. The 27-year-old midfielder, who plays for Radomiak Radom, has crossed the line and received a heavy suspension.

Camara lost his cool during the match against Pogoń Szczecin. His team was trailing 4-2 when he was brought onto the field in the 73rd minute. Shortly after, Jan Grzesik managed to equalize.

The equalizer seemed close, but it was ruled out after a VAR intervention. At the end of the match, Camara lost his composure again. He received a direct red card in the 89th minute following an incident with Dimitrios Keramitsis. The matter seemed closed, but the consequences followed.

Camara was already on his way to the locker room when he suddenly decided to turn back. He returned to the field from the players' tunnel and struck Darko Churlinov, a substitute player for Pogoń.

The disciplinary committee of the Ekstraklasa imposed a severe suspension on Camara following the events of last weekend. He is banned from all Polish football competitions for six months. Additionally, he has been fined 50,000 zlotys, which is over 11,000 euros.

Radomiak is fighting to avoid relegation in the Ekstraklasa. After twelve matchdays, the club finds itself in second-to-last place with eight points. In this battle for survival, it will have to do without Camara for the next six months.

The Guinean midfielder will be able to return to competition at the end of April. At that time, he will have the opportunity to play four additional matches with his team.
