Egypt and Angola ended the first half of their CAF Africa Cup of Nations 2027 qualifying match in a 0-0 draw. Although the Pharaohs dominated the game, they failed to convert their chances against a well-organized Angolan side.

Playing at home, Egypt took the initiative from the first minutes, controlling the ball with 68% possession compared to 32% for Angola. Hossam Hassan's men were also more active in attack, registering a total of 8 shots, but only one was on target, while the Palancas Negras made 7 attempts, with 2 on target.

Despite this dominance on the field and a greater presence in the opposing half, the Pharaohs could not find the back of the net. Angola, adopting a more defensive approach, managed to withstand the Egyptian attacks and keeps all its chances alive heading into the second half.

0-0 at halftime. Everything is still to play for in the second period, where Egypt will need to convert its control of the game into clear chances and, most importantly, goals.
