The AFE, the players' union in Spain, has requested the postponement of all professional matches this weekend in tribute to "respect" and "humanity" following the death of Tenerife striker Jesus de Miguel. Aware of the challenges posed by its request due to the schedule, the organization urges Spanish football authorities to demonstrate that "individuals" take precedence over "sporting and economic interests." Several matches have already been rescheduled this week, including those in the Copa del Rey and Copa de la Reina, as well as fixtures involving Tenerife, Andorra, and Castellon (De Miguel's former club) planned for this weekend.
