In preparation for the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers against Burundi and Zambia, Patrice Neveu, coach of the Togo national team, has decided to include Henri Koudossou in his squad.
Originally from Munich but of Togolese nationality, the 26-year-old right-back adds a modern and additional defensive option to the national team. His ability to operate along the entire right flank is a significant tactical asset for the coach.
A journey forged in German football
Playing in Germany, Koudossou is gradually establishing himself in the German football scene. After shining in the lower divisions and signing a contract with FC Augsburg in the Bundesliga, he gained significant playing time through various loans, notably in Austria with SC Rheindorf Altach, before continuing his development with Arminia Bielefeld.
A modern defender, Henri Koudossou stands out for his explosive speed, endurance, and ability to repeat efforts down his flank. Strong in duels, he also adds real value in attack with the accuracy of his crosses and his ability to quickly push forward, attributes that energize Togolese play.
He will thus have the opportunity to don the yellow jersey of the Togo national team for the very first time during the two matches of the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.
