Europa League: Ibrahim Maza scores his first goal on the European stage! (Video)

Ibrahim Maza continues to showcase his talent with Bayer Leverkusen. Crucial against Lech Poznań, the Algerian international scored the very first European goal of his career.
Ibrahim Maza keeps raising his game with Bayer Leverkusen. Starting on the pitch against Lech Poznań during the second matchday of the Europa League, the Algerian international managed to net the first European goal of his career.
His goal alone illustrates all of his skills. In midfield, Maza receives the ball, fixes two defenders, then slips between them before passing to a teammate on the right flank. Rather than stopping, the Algerian immediately continues his run into the box to support the attack.
The ball is then directed to the far post and played back to Maza, who perfectly followed the play. One-on-one with the goalkeeper, the attacking midfielder remains composed: a brief moment of waiting, a well-placed shot with the inside of his foot, and the ball finds the back of the net. A calm finish to score Bayer's fourth goal and seal a 4-0 victory.
This goal brings his total to 7 appearances across all competitions this season with Leverkusen, with 2 goals and 2 assists. In the Bundesliga, he notably has one goal and one assist in five matches, as well as one assist in the DFB-Pokal. These statistics reflect Maza's growing influence on Bayer's play.
