Juventus controlled the first half against NEC Nijmegen well. The Turin side leads 3-0 at halftime at the Allianz Stadium, after a first half largely dominated by Luciano Spalletti's players.

Nicolás González opened the scoring in the 9th minute, taking advantage of a mistake by Polster following a long clearance from Grabara. Kerim Alajbegović then doubled the lead in the 24th minute with a shot into the top corner, before Nick Woltemade converted a penalty in the 35th minute, bringing the score to 3-0.

NEC struggled to trouble Juventus. Linssen and Thomas tried their luck but failed to beat Grabara. The Dutch team also lost Bischoff to injury in the 32nd minute, replaced by Geiger. At halftime, Juventus holds a three-goal advantage.
