FIA collaborates with AWS to shape the future of F1 regulations.

The FIA has revealed an extensive collaboration with Amazon Web Services, aimed at enhancing its digital infrastructure.
AWS will serve as its Official AI and Cloud Computing Partner, enabling the governing body to leverage AWS's array of AI resources to refine its ability to develop future technical regulations.
The FIA also utilizes AWS’s High Performance Computing technology for its aerodynamic simulations, permitting it to perform airflow assessments in a virtual environment without the need for physical components, thereby accelerating the process and lowering associated costs.
This collaboration also broadens the digital licensing system employed by the governing body to streamline functions such as license management, facilitating national sporting authorities in organizing their events and enabling officials to register more easily. That digital platform, initially tested in Canada and Sri Lanka, will now be extended to additional countries.

The integration of AWS is a key element of the FIA’s broader digital transformation, as president Mohammed Ben Sulayem noted. "Technology is evolving every aspect of our sport, and the FIA must spearhead that transformation. Our new alliance with AWS will benefit everything from future vehicles to the grassroots clubs where many careers are nurtured.
"By incorporating top-tier cloud and AI technology into the core of the FIA, we can simplify participation for drivers, officials, and volunteers, assist our Member Clubs in operating more effectively, and move closer to our goal of doubling global motorsport involvement."
AWS has been a partner of F1 management since 2018, initially coming on board as its innovation technology partner. Among other functionalities, AWS tools analyze telemetry data for broadcasting, enhancing live strategy predictions.
