The national 3×3 basketball team for players under 23 has exited the World Championship for this age group held in Wuhan, China, from September 15 to 19, finishing fourth in Group C.
The young Algerian basketball players suffered a defeat early Thursday morning against Poland, losing 21-14 in the third round, followed by another loss to Australia, 21-13, in the fourth and final round.
Thus, the national team concluded the group stage with one win and three losses.
Algeria began the competition with a loss to France, 20-14, last Tuesday, before securing their only victory the same day against Kenya, 19-18.
After the first round, Australia topped Group C with 84 points, qualifying for the quarter-finals alongside France in second place with 82 points, while Poland finished third with 73 points. Algeria ended with 60 points and Kenya with 49 points.
