Italian club Frosinone has announced the extension of Algerian international Faris Ghaimess's contract until June 2030, a move that reflects the management's desire to retain their striker following his outstanding performance last season and his continued brilliance with the team.
The extension decision comes as a reward for Ghaimess's level during the 2025-2026 season, where he scored 15 goals and provided three assists in 38 matches, directly contributing to Frosinone's return to Serie A after finishing second in the Serie B standings.
The 24-year-old player has established himself as one of the key attacking players in his team since joining in January 2024 from French club Rouen, thanks to his effectiveness in front of goal and his ability to make a difference.
He also had a remarkable start to his international career, representing the Algerian national team for the first time in March 2026 during a friendly match against Guatemala, which ended in a 7-0 victory for the "Greens," where he managed to score a goal in his debut with the national team.
The renewal of the Algerian striker's contract comes amid interest from several European clubs in his services during the last summer transfer window, including French club Monaco, Turkish club Beşiktaş, and Scottish clubs Celtic and Rangers. However, Frosinone's management succeeded in keeping him by agreeing to continue his adventure with the club for four more seasons.
