Hamdaoui: "We achieved the most important thing and we will strive to repeat the victory against Burundi"
National coach Ibrahim Hamdaoui expressed his satisfaction with the victory achieved by the Algerian national team against Zambia, winning three goals to one, confirming that the Greens deserved the three points based on the course of the match.
Hamdaoui said after the match: "We were aiming for this victory and we deserved it considering the flow of the game, and we achieved the most important thing by collecting three points."
The national coach noted that a dip in the team's performance at one point in the match allowed Zambia a chance to come back, explaining: "We created chances but lacked effectiveness, which allowed the Zambian team to come back, but the players maintained their focus afterwards and we finished the match with a win."
Regarding the upcoming match against Burundi this Tuesday in the second round of the qualifiers, Hamdaoui emphasized the importance of handling the difficulties of travel well, confirming that the goal remains to collect as many points as possible.
The national coach stated: "It's a long journey, and our goal is to collect as many points as possible, and we aim to achieve the same result."
