Before facing Burundi in the second round of the qualifiers for the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations, Brahim Hemdani stated that his coaching staff had analyzed the strengths and weaknesses of their upcoming opponent.
As he prepares for the match against Burundi in the second round of the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers, Algeria's head coach Brahim Hemdani shared some insights regarding his team's preparation. Without revealing the details of his strategy, the national coach indicated that the staff had carefully examined their opponent.
“As usual, we have studied our opponent. They are a team with strengths, but they also have weaknesses that we will try to exploit,” Hemdani explained to reporters, suggesting that some Burundian vulnerabilities had already been identified.
However, the Algerian tactician refuses to consider this trip as a special preparation. “The preparation for the match remains the same, whether here, in Burundi, or in another country. In any case, we know the strengths of this team and we will ensure to be cautious in countering those strengths,” he added.
After their victory against Zambia in the first round, Algeria will now aim to continue their momentum away from home. Hemdani, for his part, hopes that his players will remain focused against an opponent he clearly refuses to underestimate.
