The Saudi federation stated in a statement: "Coach Georgios Donis has excluded player Hassan Kadhesh from the Green's camp in Jeddah, as part of the Gulf Cup 27."

It added: "This is based on the medical report from the tests conducted on the site of his thigh injury, which showed he is unfit and requires a treatment and rehabilitation program."
