The health condition of Belgian coach Vincent Kompany, who leads Bayern Munich in football, has stabilized after he suffered a sudden health issue on Friday, which required him to be taken to a clinic in Munich. He is expected to be absent from coaching the team for several weeks, according to the club's sporting director, Max Eberl.

Eberl stated in comments made on Saturday that the Belgian coach's condition is stable after collapsing on the pitch, noting that he will remain in the hospital for several days to complete the necessary medical tests and analyses to determine the nature of his health issue.

The sporting director of Bayern Munich said, “The good news is that he is in stable condition,” adding that the medical staff is working to identify the causes of what happened before determining the necessary recovery period, confirming that discussions about the coach returning to his duties in a few days are not feasible at this time.

The same official emphasized that the club will not set a date for Kompany's return until the test results are clear, suggesting that his absence may extend for weeks, and confirming that the coach's health remains a priority at this stage.

Kompany had suffered a viral infection last week that kept him away from the team for a few days before he returned to resume his duties and sat on the bench during the match between Bayern Munich and English side Arsenal last Wednesday in the UEFA Champions League, which ended in a 2-2 draw.

The Belgian coach admitted, after returning to work, that he had not given his health condition the necessary attention before suffering the sudden health issue two days after the European match.

The incident occurred after the first team's training session on Friday, in preparation for the upcoming match against Freiburg, where Kompany stayed to observe the training of the reserve team, which is managed by former Brazilian international Dante, before collapsing on the pitch, necessitating an ambulance to take him to the hospital.

The Bavarian club announced in a statement on Friday evening that their coach underwent extensive medical examinations, without revealing a final diagnosis of the nature of the health crisis he experienced.

Kompany's expected absence comes at a time when the German team has important commitments, as they prepare to face Freiburg on Sunday in the domestic league, where Bayern leads the table with 14 points, one point ahead of third-placed Freiburg.

The Belgian coach is also expected to miss several upcoming matches, including the anticipated game against Spanish side Atlético Madrid, scheduled for November 3, in the UEFA Champions League, pending the medical test results regarding the timing of his return to duties.
