Kawkab Marrakech rises to the top of the league alone.

Kawkab Marrakech has taken sole possession of the top spot in the professional league's first division after defeating Wydad Temara 1-0 in a match held today, Sunday, at the Olympic Stadium in the capital, Rabat, during the fourth round.

The Palm Knight secured the win early, with Salah Salami scoring in the fourth minute, giving his team a lead they maintained until halftime, despite Wydad Temara's attempts to equalize. However, the Marrakech team failed to extend their lead with a second goal.

The second half saw a back-and-forth exchange of attacks between the two teams, with Wydad Temara seeking to level the score while Kawkab Marrakech aimed to increase their advantage. Yet, the goalkeepers' brilliance, along with rushed and unfocused finishing, prevented any changes to the scoreline, ending the match with a 1-0 victory for the Palm Knight.

With this win, Kawkab Marrakech climbed to the top of the professional league standings with 9 points, while Wydad Temara remained at 3 points in 13th place.
