Lewis Hamilton's Brazilian GP cap revealed with official release date announced

Ferrari has unveiled a cap inspired by Brazil that Lewis Hamilton will don at the Brazilian Grand Prix, and fans will have the opportunity to purchase their own just days prior to the event.
The Maranello team announced the cap in a collaborative Instagram post with Puma on 16 October. "Lewis will carry a small piece of Brazil with him at Interlagos. And it can also be yours soon. Available for purchase on November 3rd," the team shared alongside images of the seven-time champion showcasing the new design.
The cap boasts a striking yellow color scheme with distressed accents that reveal green beneath, mirroring the hues of the Brazilian flag. The Ferrari emblem is prominently featured on the front in silver, accompanied by a matching silver Puma logo stitched on the front right of the visor.
"Give me one right now, Sir Lewis Hamilton," one fan remarked, while another commented: "I'm not even a Ferrari supporter, but that is stylish. I'd wear it."
Others speculated whether the cap might indicate that the Ferrari driver will debut a corresponding special helmet for the race at Interlagos.
Hamilton was officially granted honorary citizenship of Brazil in November 2022.
"I’d like to extend a huge thank you to everyone here at the house, for all those who’ve moved mountains to make this day happen," the 41-year-old stated at that time. "It is truly the greatest honor for me to be here receiving and accepting this citizenship. I genuinely feel like now I’m one of you, at last.
"When I arrived here in 2007 [Hamilton’s inaugural F1 season], the love that has blossomed, the experiences we’ve shared, and, particularly 2021 [his drive to victory], knowing you all were cheering me on, was one of the most special moments of my life. I can’t wait for us to keep pushing forward.
"I really want to dedicate today, this honor, to Ayrton Senna – to Ayrton’s family, his friends, and his admirers. For me, when I was five years old, I witnessed Ayrton race for the first time, and that was the moment I knew I wanted to be a world champion, just like him.
"It was then that I discovered Brazil. It was then that I began to play FIFA as Brazil! But truly, through his perspective, I was able to witness the fervor of Brazilians, and how profound the love and passion for your country is, and how beautiful it is. I’m thrilled to spend more time here."
The 2026 Brazilian Grand Prix is set for 6-8 November and will conclude a triple-header that begins with the United States Grand Prix from 23-25 October, followed by the Mexican Grand Prix from 30 October to 1 November.
