Younès Belhanda has shared updates about his situation. The Moroccan international discussed his physical condition in an interview with RMC Sport. He is even considering a return to the Ligue 1 pitches.

Regarding the Moroccan national team and coach Walid Regragui, Younès Belhanda did not shy away from any topic. A Ligue 1 Best Young Player in 2012, he won the championship that year with Montpellier. Since 2017, after his season with OGC Nice, Belhanda has been playing in Qatar. After a stint at Al Shamal, the former player of Galatasaray and Schalke 04 now represents Al Sailiya.

Speaking to RMC, Belhanda is convinced he still has the level to play in Ligue 1. He even mentioned taking steps to return. Unfortunately, without success. “I have the level to play in Ligue 1, not to play in Ligue 2. I tried to come back. I was at the end of my contract and wanted to explore options to join Ligue 1. I received no offers. Agents tried to scout. But I tell you: in Ligue 1, I play every day. In Marseille, I play, in Lyon, I play, in Lille, I play… All the teams. In Marseille, they have no one in the number 10 position,” he stated.
