The coaching staff of the Egyptian national football team, led by Hossam Hassan, has called up Ali Mahmoud, the young midfielder from Al Ahly, to officially join the Pharaohs' squad for the first time in his career. This call-up comes as part of the serious preparations for the upcoming matches against Angola and South Sudan in the qualifiers for the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations, as well as the anticipated friendly against South Africa.
Hossam Hassan's decision to include the young player follows his impressive performances with the team recently, where he has caught attention with his high physical and technical skills in ball recovery and building attacks.
