Officials at Al Obour Club have signed Mamdouh Abdel Hai, the former star of Arab Contractors, to be the team's head coach for the upcoming period, aiming to regain their competitive edge for promotion to the Professional League.
Today, Al Obour drew 1-1 away against Benha, which has pushed them slightly away from the top spot, especially since they have always been among the clubs competing for promotion.
It is worth noting that Al Obour was one of the clubs that competed for promotion last season until the final weeks, before Cairo's Al Nasr secured promotion and played a playoff match against Port Fouad, winning and qualifying for the Professional League.
