Marseille Talent Chooses France Over Algeria!
In an unexpected decision, Olympique Marseille star Elias Diallo has chosen to represent the French U17 national team after previously playing for Algeria's U16 team.
Diallo has been called up to join the France U17 training camp, set to take place in Finland from September 20 to 25, where he will participate in two friendly matches against the Finnish U17 team on September 23 and 25.
Diallo was part of the plans for Algeria's U16 team and attended several training camps under coach Karim Ziani before changing his international path by accepting the call from the French national team.
Diallo, who will celebrate his 17th birthday in February 2027, remains eligible to change his sporting allegiance in the future according to existing regulations, as he awaits the development of his career with various age groups at Marseille.
