Moroccan Taha shines in the Dutch league

Moroccan striker Younes Taoufik scored the opening goal for Twente today, Sunday, as they defeated PSV Eindhoven 3-2 in the seventh round of the Dutch league.

Taoufik opened the scoring in the 14th minute, following a shot from his teammate Daouda Weidman inside the penalty area, which was cleared by the PSV defense, allowing him to place the ball in the bottom left corner of the net.

This goal is Taoufik's first for Twente this season at the age of 23, after five matches in which he also provided two assists.

PSV quickly responded, equalizing through Guus Til in the 26th minute, before the same player gave the visitors the lead in the 29th minute.

In the second half, Wout Weghorst brought the teams back level in the 79th minute, before Daouda Weidman restored Twente's lead in the 83rd minute.

AZ Alkmaar took advantage of this defeat to take sole possession of the league's top spot with 19 points, ahead of Feyenoord with 17 points and PSV with 16 points.
