Tunisian coach Nasreddine Nabi stated that Wydad Athletic Club did not deliver the expected performance in the first half of the match against Moghreb Tétouan, which ended with a 1-0 victory for the red team on Saturday in the sixth round of the professional league. He emphasized that the most important aspect of such matches is to collect points while waiting to improve performance over time.

Nabi noted during the post-match press conference that Wydad faced challenges in building play and reaching the opponent's penalty area due to Moghreb Tétouan's defensive organization and closed pathways. He added that the team also struggled with numerous inaccurate passes and poor decisions, making the first half "very weak" from his players.

The Wydad coach mentioned that the technical staff attempted to address some negative points during the second half by making changes in the positioning of some players, confirming that the team's performance improved, although he was hoping for a better display from the players on the wings.

Nabi stressed that matches of this nature require a focus primarily on how to secure three points, rather than seeking aesthetic performance. He pointed out that the players exerted their utmost effort to maintain the lead, and that some players continued to play despite suffering from injuries they did not inform the technical staff about.

The Tunisian coach believes that the Wydad he aspires to build cannot be achieved through words or promises, but through work and time, especially regarding tactical organization, attack, and selecting players capable of adapting to the team's requirements.

Nabi clarified that his goal is not limited to achieving local results only, but extends to restoring Wydad Athletic Club to its rightful place on both national and continental levels, emphasizing that the project requires coordination between the technical staff, management, players, and fans, in addition to working according to specific phases and goals.

On the other hand, Amine Karrama, coach of Moghreb Tétouan, confirmed that his team entered the match well, despite the difficulty of facing Wydad, and considered that his team could have equalized in the second half after several opportunities arose to score.

Karrama explained that the match was balanced for long periods, and that his players managed to overcome some scenarios they faced in the previous two matches, but he stressed the importance of capitalizing on opportunities when they arise against a team of Wydad's caliber, regardless of their current situation.

The Moghreb Tétouan coach praised the efforts of his players, confirming that they are in a learning phase and need more experience and professionalism in handling the details of matches in the professional league, emphasizing the need to avoid repeating mistakes and continue searching for new solutions.

Karrama concluded by expressing his confidence in the players of Moghreb Tétouan, the city, and the team's fans, noting that the difficult situation the club is experiencing requires continued work and not giving up, with the aim of developing the group and gradually emerging from the current phase.
