Naimoun: “We are optimistic about Bouzouk's return and aim for a positive result against Customs”

Jaber Naimoun, the sporting director of CR Belouizdad, expressed his optimism about his team's ability to start their African campaign positively, ahead of the team's trip to Mauritania to face Customs Club in the first leg of the second preliminary round of the CAF Confederation Cup.

Naimoun spoke about Bouzouk's condition at Houari Boumediene Airport in the capital: “We are optimistic about Bouzouk's return, and he will be with us on the trip to Mauritania. The player is suspended in the national league but will be available to us, God willing,” indicating the possibility of benefiting from his services during the continental match.

Regarding the opponent, the sporting director of CR Belouizdad clarified that the coaching staff has studied Customs Club well, emphasizing that the task will not be easy, especially since the Mauritanian team managed to eliminate Hafia Conakry, which requires the players to be focused and serious to achieve a positive result away from home.

Naimoun also considered that CR Belouizdad's top position in the national league standings after five rounds gives the players some calm before traveling to Mauritania, adding: “Leading the league after five rounds gives CR Belouizdad players some calm before traveling to Mauritania, and we have prepared for the match normally, as it is our first match in Africa this season.”
