Nice: Amoura praised again after his performance in Lyon

Although OGC Nice suffered a defeat against Olympique Lyonnais (2-1), Mohamed Amoura delivered a dynamic performance. His coach, Olivier Pantaloni, had emphasized the importance of the Algerian international in his tactical setup before the match.
Mohamed Amoura could not prevent OGC Nice from leaving Groupama Stadium empty-handed on Sunday during the 7th round of Ligue 1. Starting in attack, the Algerian international participated in an intense match, ultimately won by Olympique Lyonnais with a score of 2-1.
Before this encounter, Olivier Pantaloni expressed his full confidence in the Fennec. During a press conference, the Nice coach particularly highlighted his striker's daily commitment, who arrived this summer on loan from Wolfsburg. “He is always at 100% during training. He loves to play and gives his all on the pitch,” he explained, underscoring a mentality that perfectly meets his expectations.
However, the coach pointed out the need to monitor the physical condition of the 26-year-old player, whose intense commitment can sometimes require recovery phases. “Improving his physical aspect should allow him to have much more clarity in his game. He already has a good dose of it; he is very valuable to us, but he still has room for improvement.”
An effort that was not enough
In the match against Lyon, Amoura was named in the starting lineup and was active in a game where Nice displayed two different faces. After Elye Wahi's opening goal in the 18th minute, the Aiglons gradually lost control of the match, conceding two goals before halftime, scored by Pavel Šulc and Tanner Tessmann.
However, the Côte d'Azur team showed a completely different face after the break, ramping up attacks in an attempt to equalize. Despite this response, a shot that hit the crossbar, a post, and a goal by Wahi that was ultimately ruled out for offside in stoppage time prevented Nice from securing a positive result.
For Amoura, this defeat does not undermine the confidence his coach has in him. Already seen as a key player in the Nice project, the Algerian must now continue this momentum and improve his efficiency to help his team achieve its goals.
