Amin Chiakha will not participate this Sunday in the match between Rosenborg and Sarpsborg 08. The Algerian forward, who received his fourth yellow card of the season in the last match against Sandefjord, is suspended. According to the Eliteserien regulations, this automatically results in a one-match suspension at this stage.

This absence is significant for Rosenborg, especially since Chiakha is having a remarkable season. With 14 goals scored in the league, he is currently the top scorer and has established himself as one of the main offensive threats for his team.

However, his club performances contrast with his recent appearances in the Algerian national team. In the last meeting of the Greens, Amin Chiakha was heavily criticized after disappointing performances, particularly in terms of content and efficiency in front of goal. This discrepancy is striking compared to his level displayed each week in Norway.

Rosenborg will also have to do without other key players for this away match. Tomáš Nemčík is also suspended due to an accumulation of yellow cards, while captain Ole Selnæs is serving a suspension following his red card in the last match.
