The Portuguese national team, the defending champions, secured their place in the quarter-finals of the top tier of the UEFA Nations League after defeating Norway 2-1 on Sunday. Meanwhile, Germany's match ended in a goalless draw against their hosts Greece, and the Netherlands topped Group B with a 2-1 victory over Serbia.

In Group D, Portugal achieved their fourth consecutive win, finishing the first half tied at 1-1. Christopher Ajer put Norway ahead in the 36th minute, but João Cancelo equalized just two minutes later.

Gonçalo Ramos clinched the victory for Portugal in the 79th minute, benefiting from a pass by João Félix, allowing coach Jorge Jesus's team to secure qualification with two group stage matches remaining.

Denmark's win over Wales, with a goal from Rasmus Hojlund via a penalty in the 75th minute, also helped confirm Portugal's qualification. Denmark now has six points in second place, while Wales and Norway each have three points.

In Group B, Germany settled for a goalless draw against Greece in Thessaloniki, bringing their total to five points from four matches, with one win and two draws.

A goal by Germany's Jonathan Burkardt was disallowed in the 34th minute after a VAR review due to a foul in the build-up, while both teams exchanged several chances without finding the net.

Under the management of Jürgen Klopp, Germany now needs positive results in their upcoming matches against Serbia and the Netherlands to keep their qualification hopes alive.

In another match in the same group, the Netherlands defeated Serbia 2-1, thanks to goals from Teun Koopmeiners in the 32nd minute and Joshua Zirkzee in the 72nd minute, while Mihailo Svitkovic scored for Serbia.

With this result, the Netherlands increased their points tally to eight at the top of the group, ahead of Greece on goal difference, while Serbia remains at the bottom without any points.
